1970 383 Magnum “HP” Engine FOR SALE

Block Casting Date: 12-2-69. 

Assembly Date:1-28-70.

The short block/rotating assembly has never been overhauled. It was disassembled by me for the first time about 10 years ago. The block was degreased, pressure washed and painted to look good on the engine stand in the corner of the garage. Since then, it has been stored indoors with grease coating critical areas. The rotating assembly is factory matched parts. The block is stamped “HP”. The bore is standard size at 4.25 inch. The rods have been marked for location.  Included is the block with bearing caps, forged crankshaft, connecting rods, harmonic balancer, 906 cylinder heads (already vatted, one exhaust seat previously replaced), rear main seal retainer, timing chain cover, water pump manifold, fresh water pump, rocker arms, rocker arm shafts, rocker arm mounting hardware, valves, original red stripe magnum valve springs, valve spring retainers and keepers, push rods, oil slinger, distributor hold down, fuel pump rod and various assembly bolts. I do not have the oil pan, windage tray, intake and exhaust manifolds, carb and distributor. High wear items like the oil pump, oil pump pickup, timing chain and pistons were trashed long ago.
